Anti Money Laundering 2023

The fight against money laundering is of utmost importance for a company. If money laundering is not successfully combated, this can have negative consequences for those affected and for companies in terms of criminal law, regulation and finances.

In March 2021, the Federal Parliament passed the amendment to the AMLA. The revision provides for measures for financial intermediaries in the areas of beneficial ownership, up-to-dateness of client data and money laundering suspicious activity reports. It also promotes the transparency of associations with increased risk in the area of terrorist financing and strengthens supervision and controls in the area of precious metals. This training includes all implementing provisions that will come into force on 1 January 2023 under the revised AMLA.
